What languages are supported?

The application recognizes text in Afrikaans, Albanian, Arabic, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Basque, Byelorussian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Filipino, Finnish, French, Galician, Georgian, German, Greek, Haitian Creole, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay, Maltese, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovene, Spanish, Swahili*-, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese, Welsh and Yiddish.

Which connection type is more recommended?

To receive a quick response we recommend you to use connection type WiFi or 3G.

Recognition takes too much time.

Use WiFi connection when possible. Set the camera to Black&White mode, Image Quality to Fine. You can also try to reduce camera resolution.

Text is not recognized.

Make sure your that BlackBerry has a camera with Auto Focus (89xx, 95xx, 96xx, 97xx, 98xx). Here are some tips to get the best recognition quality.

1. Good lighting is a key factor: a bright desk lamp or direct sunlight is necessary.
2. Turn off flash in Camera Options to reduce possible glare. You can also enable Black&White mode to speed up recognition.
3. Hold your BlackBerry horizontally right above a picture. Please make sure that the text fits into viewfinder. Setting larger image resolution will help to get better recognition results.
4. Hold your BlackBerry firmly when take a picture.
